LA In Bloom Takes Look TV
It’s been a while since we’ve spoken about the webseries Heather Taylor makes for her website, LA In Bloom. In fact, it’s been almost a year since we spoke about it. The former LAIY cover girl and co-owner of Culver City’s Taylor De Cordoba is back in motion videomaking but has kicked things up a notch: she’s now making videos with Look TV, a fairly popular DIY fashion and beauty channel. As she mentioned when we spoke to her earlier this Summer, she has stepped up her game–and it all looks great!
There are three videos in the series so far: one where she stops by the H&M showroom to speak with brand rep Pansy Tolou on Fall fashion; everyday makeup application with shoe designer/makeup artist Beatrice Valenzuela; and a visit to Silver Lake’s new Clare Vivier flagship with Vivier herself. The videos are all fun and lighthearted and have this almost European sophistication to them (which likely is just Heather, who has delicate European air to her). They’re conversational and are steps into her world that–like all of her videos–let you know that, hey, you can do all this yourself, too. She and her guests give advice (Pansy has a great tip on pattern mixing) and are having a good time doing what they all do for a living. What’s most interesting watching and being familiar with Heather’s professional work at Taylor De Cordoba is how she brings her artistic aesthetic to beauty and lifestyle. At one point she refers to something as painterly and you can’t help but think to yourself, “Score.”
You can catch the three videos below, all of which are bite-sized three minute-ish videos. We are sure she has a ton more fabulous people, places, and things to share in Los Angeles this season of her webseries. Be sure to keep an eye on it! We also recommend perusing LA In Bloom, too.
