Jacks Red Barn Leather Clutches

Jack's Red Barn Leather Clutches

A few weeks back, we found some cool little leather clutches and had been sitting on them for a while for no reason other than “it wasn’t time to share.” A few days ago, those same clutches popped up onto Svpply and we went, “OH! It’s that clutch!!” It was the right time to share! The goods are from Jacks Red Barn, a pair of vintage collectors and leather clutch makers in Los Angeles.

The brand is by duo Sarah and Devyn who have been collecting and sharing things since 2009. They’ve found lots of cool vintage eyewear, home items, dresses, and even oddities like vials, swizzle sticks, and staplers. They present them very nicely with a definite neo-antique slant to them. The items that stand out most are these leather clutches we believe they make. They come in a smaller wallet size and a bigger clutch but are both simple leather envelopes made to be worn and naturally aged by the owner. They are fastened with a two button tab closure and are available in a waxed leather clutch, a natural leather clutch, and a small waxed leather wallet.

The design of the clutches are somewhat effortless and they evoke that of a Northwestern craftsman, likely a beardo tinkering away in a studio a few miles outside of Portland. It’s nice to see that we have people with that skill set down South. They’re priced at $65 for the wallet and $95 for the clutch, a fair price for a leather good like this. Grab them from their Etsy store and be sure to look around at their other goods, too.
