An Echo Park Food Tour
Citysearch in collaboration with Hungry recently launched a little webseries that is scouring small food neighborhoods around the country. They get super niche and delve into anything from specific foods on a specific block to entire areas of a city that you may be at a lost when looking for food there. Lucky for us, they have an LA branch for food hunting and they started things with a food tour of Echo Park. It’s a pretty neat tour of a familiar area.
The video is hosted by Adrianna Adarme of A Cozy Kitchen. She’s a cutesy, cool girl who knows her stuff about food. She hits a variety of places in Echo Park that are totally foreign to a non-Echo Park resident like myself: she visits Haitian influenced TiGeorge’s Chicken, rustic eatery Red Hill, and late night taco spot Tacos Arizas. The video is very concerned about taste but also with giving you a little behind-the-curtain look at a neighborhood, something other Angelenos will find totally useful.
The videos come out each Friday and includes correspondents in Austin, New York, and San Francisco, too. We’re note sure when the next Los Angeles video will be happening but we’d love to see the same neighborhood formula applied to tons of different areas around the city. That would make it so easy to navigate the often overwhelming food landscape in Los Angeles.
