Jason Koharik's COLLECTEDby

It’s been quite some time since we’ve checked in with what local maker Jason Koharik has been up to. The Lawson-Fenning sold creative has caught our eye with his gangly Art Deco gold and black lamps from late last year/earlier this year and he sent us a note that he has a new series of lights out in his COLLECTEDby group. They’re just as fantastic while being a total departure.

There are two big differences between the old group and this new group. First, color! In addition to his black and white and gold, there are now some blues and greens. They don’t really seem like logical friends in the color palette but–somehow–they do work as the materials he made them from and the way he finishes them are very uniting.

Additionally, the form–the second difference–really makes them all fit together: the’s added in a lot more curves into the group. Like the long and curved metal necked floor lamps and the squeezed tabletop lamps, Koharik has used these shapes to soften the metal. He’s bent them to almost look like pillows or warped sheets of paper. They’re so beautiful.

Jason has a lot more fixtures and new items on his website. They really are super beautiful and well made and really do bring so much to a room. We’ve seen them in a few places outside of the store and they really do command your attention. You should catch them in stores at Lawson-Fenning, too.
