Programming Note 2013 The LA Holiday 25

Believe it or not, we’re in the thick of the holiday season. We’ve been in it for some time! This December is a quick month since we have three weeks and then it’s all of a sudden Christmas and Kwanza and New Years. Thanksgiving and Chanukah have already gone down! And we want to help give you some help in gifting this year—but with a local twist. Programming Note: Summer Break!

Programming Note Summer Break!

May and June have been some of those months where you are just worked to the bone, everything suffers a little, and you live through it knowing that–at the end of it–you’ll have a bit of a break. Thus, next we wanted to relay that next week LAIY is taking a brief Summer break to recharge to storm into the second half of 2013. We have some cool things up our shorts (Not that, dirty minds.) and will be rolling some out in July. You’ll just have to stay tuned for what’s next.

What else should you expect next week? Newsbites. Although editorial content will be down, we’re going to keep news and event listings going and–either Wednesday or Thursday–will have a weekend RECAP that should carry you through all Fourth of July festivities and more. Don’t fret, guys: we have you covered in terms of the who, what, and where in arts and culture in LA next week. We’ll see you on July 8th and everyone try to have a laxed week next week.

Congested streets, the near end of movie propaganda in our faces, and the return of the Los Angeles, I’m Yours Oscar Week Diary. Yes, our friends at Vanity Fair have invited us to a few of their events in addition to a few other venues who invited us to “check out what they are doing” to celebrate 2012 movies, etc. While we are concerned that the Diary could be very similar to last year’s, we want to make things interesting. How? Well, we’ve devised a sort of bingo list or scavenger hunt of things to do or have happen or to notice at parties that we want to check off. What are they? Well…
