For years now I’ve lamented trampling over graves at Hollywood Forever just to get a good seat for a Purple Rain screening, but this past Saturday at the cemetery’s 13th annual Dia de los Muertos celebration, the act felt more like an inclusion than a violation. We were there to remember and celebrate the dead. With over one hundred altars honoring the deceased, two stages hosting live music all day, a dance stage, an art exhibit, and a multitude of elaborate Calaca costumes, I think we succeeded in waking the dead.

What have they been up to? You would guess that they still skating as usual. Well, they’ve actually stepped up their game and are diversifying with smaller, niche collections. The Emerald Collection is their most premium, organic line they’ve made that brings casual sophistication to their mens wears. We dig it.
