The Internet is full of insane, unknown corners. It’s easy to hide behind the veil of a pseudonym or artistic guise that you can work from. We’ve shared a few artists who conduct themselves as such (Midnight Marauder, Star Stuff), which makes for a more interesting artistic encounter. Are they a student who doesn’t want to share their name? An online Banksy toying around? Just someone having fun making? Obscure Design is one of those creatives and he or she is mashing visuals together in a very open–yet very mysterious–fashion.

The Flitch Chairs

We may know nothing on the subject (technically) but good furniture design one of our favorite things to ogle. It’s intersection with digital design and creation is a fascinating one and definitely represents a shift in how we make goods. LA architect and designer Patrick Lun is a big advocate of this new way of making and is creating all sorts of wild design items. His Flitch Chairs are an example of this practice at play and are elegant, sleek, and futuristic, exactly as you imagine a chair made by robots and software to look.

A sign of a good store is being able to walk in and discover things you have never seen before and that you want very badly. That was one of the joys we had when checking out Individual Melody in Abbot Kinney, which we spoke about earlier this week. There were lots of goods we had not seen before in the store and the work of A Question of Eagles stood out most. The brand is an LA based ceramics and jewelry company: we are big fans of their stoneware.
